I have the mx518 mouse, which i think is a 8ms. As the deathadder is 1ms, what does this mean, quick movement and does this apply to the buttons also. Is 7 ms (7/1000th of a second) really make any difference?

I have asked Santa for a Microsoft Reclusa gaming keyboard to keep my DiamondBack mouse company.

a good mouse can make a difference, when I play with a cheap logitech mouse in school I´m a lot weaker and slower than at home. it has something to do with getting used to it of course but there is some difference. one may become very good with a standard mouse as well but changing to a good mouse will benefit them as too.
however its important to find the right mouse for you. I´ve had an mx518 and G5 which where good but they were too big for me. then I got a G9. it was better but still somewhat too big. so I play without any of the grips that you are supposed to use. now I have a gaming mouse, the size of a normal small mouse. because its so small I can be more precise with it. it was too lightweight so I put the maximum weights in though. (28g)
depending on you you can become a lot better or hardly any better with a good mouse.

not really. you can play very good with all mice (in a good condition), you only have to adapt to it. it may take a couple of days, weeks or even months, but sooner or later you will get used to it
same thing for diferent framerates

Given the default fps rate of 300 the user of a 1ms response time mouse would see the results of his actions 2 frames sooner than the user of a 8ms mouse. At 120 fps there would be no apparent difference.
Given that the average human eye to finger response is 160ms a slightly faster than average response would compensate for the difference in mouse response time.
Now in if Osiris' photon was released by a system using the different mice, the 1ms mouses photon would be approaching Sydney in Australia before the 7ms mouses photon had even started.

The sweetest gaming mouse EVAH!
It is lvl 18 with 400,000 dpi and a warp response time of +500ms, it actually predicts what you should do, and does it for you @_@
It's only drawback is it weighs 27 pounds.......and requires a 500,000watt PSU.
Sometimes you have to live a little and splurge ^^

My friend it comes in an INCREDIBLE amount of custom colors, here's a few.
Also pictured is the WTFHAX model with such features as, 16 extra buttons, 3 scroll wheels and voice activated dpi adjustment.

freelancer, the mouse is amazing, but sadly speaking it doesnt come with the ultra polling the lachesis, copperhead, deathadder and habu have. so the response rate is only 8 ms rather than the 1 ms the others have. so it wont feel as tight response wise.
that's why me no get... i have the original and it served me well.
what a shame...

tis not dude, the habu has interchangable side buttons you can have them back or front and comes packaged with an extra set of mouse feet, the death adder's mold is different and has fixed buttons, the optical engine is the same but the ms mouse has razer tech in it so it's the amalgamation of 2 franchises. The deathadder is razer's modification of the intelli mouse.
same means equal and they have differences. not all mice are born equal
