Business trip to Georgia, what to do in free time?
Got a chance to head out on a business trip to Georgia, way out there. Don't know anything about the country and have no clue how to spend my downtime. Good news is I'll have plenty of free time between meetings. Anyone been there before? Could use some advice on entertainment and places to check out while I'm there.
Georgia's surprisingly fun for downtime. Tbilisi's nightlife scene is pretty active, bars and clubs stay open late. Sulfur baths in the old district are worth trying, relaxing after long meetings. The currency exchange rate works in your favor so things feel cheaper than back home. Georgian brandy's legit for picking up souvenirs, way better than the wine everyone raves about.
The sulfur baths and nightlife suggestions are solid, those will keep you busy in the city. For something completely different during your free evenings, there's entertainment options outside Tbilisi too. There's a casino near Gudauri https://casinogudauri.ge/ . It's about two hours from the capital up in the mountains. Gaming tables, slots, and live entertainment give you a break from the usual tourist routine. To me, the mountain drive alone makes it worthwhile, scenery's completely different from what you see in the city.
