Game crashed after session |
|
When i play a evening, for example 10 sessions. My game crash about 8 times. This happens always after the session, when you see the score.
I hear more people about this. Is this crash from the server or is it my (our) pc lag? I have it in XP and also in Vista.
It's pretty irritating, because when it's crash i've a little problem to find my mouse pointer back.

crash !! |

Hi Rammie
When I see the outlines of the buildings, I know my game is gonna crash, then crash..hl2 has experienced an error and has to close.
You crashed cos of your pc/the tsgk server/the internet/don't know why.
Sometimes all I can do is switch off my pc from the plug to reboot.
You have a good point, but have you used the "properties" function on the steam box that is shown when you connect ?
verify integrity of game cache
defragment cache files
this may help, also using process explorer, available fro microsoft.com, which is a more comprehensive windows task manager you can select the priority of certain tasks and kill them.
It is surprising that if you reduce the priority how much ram you get, so you may, play better and perhaps less crashes....give it a try.
Regards

I can truly admit that 80%+ of my crashes are as soon as the final score screen appears, this is a problem with the source engine not TSGK servers, this happens on any server I play including my own.
VALVe says it is probably conflicting motherboard drivers, or mismatched RAM chips, and they are always going to tell you that, even though during the North American tournament when Alienware donated TOP of the line gaming PC's some poor fellas still crashed (in a tournament :S)
Just try to tolerate it because it will keep happening, I wish we could provide a remedy for you but the only thing I notice is some PC's don't crash as much as others, try experimenting with settings example, go to audio options in game and change your sound quality from high to medium, you won'e notice a huge sound difference but it may run more stable, this is a bit of a wives tale but it does seem to work for some.
