They certainly do! But you still navigate the map successfully without having to jump.
I may post some more shots but this is enough for now.

Thanks for the turnout guys, I believe i have a direction for the map now, as i move to complete it.
It needs some better layout for easier navigation without bumping into walls, plus the potential for secret jumps is big.

I recorded 2,110 kills for the first 4 hours of freerunner, so great start!

Great map there, the window jumps are seemingly limitless.

One of those maps you have to play serveral times to get use to the layout.
The first time i fell off the roof with 100hp and hit the floor, it was like WTH happened i died Thinking in a killbox i fall 3 times the height and only loose 10hp
Great map and good company last night

I have a question: does the fall damage have something to do with the floor you are falling at or is it just the physics?

Haha, this seems to get everyone
The reason for the fall damage is bcos there is an issue with the map being purely on rooftops (with some indoor bits). If players were allowed to fall down to the ground level with no punishment then it would be a problem.
Similarly, a teleport at ground level for fallers would defy the point of playing on the rooftops.
So although it may be considered a harsh punishment, i think it governs the gameplay so that fighting remains fair (no dodging magnum fire by jumping off bcos you know you will be ok).
To answer your question, there is a trigger to hurt the player on a fall, positioned on the ground, and a trigger to break the props, which subsequently respawn at their origin.

The Map is really beautiful.
It's very well thought out, the attacks could come from anywhere, the multiple escape routes was so sweet.
Skiing down the rooftops is very much what free running is about.
Can't wait for the final version.

Played this a wee bit with ghost the other night. Fun map, although I killed myself alot. I love the crazy jumping opportunities. There are a couple rooms under the center bunker-thingey that could use a weapon pickup, or something along those lines. Other than that, sweet map. Not the best map to play whilst drunk though...or maybe it is

dm_freerunner_b3 has been released.
The layout has been reworked, doors widened, jumps made easier, more space and rooftops.
Also visually the skybox has been extended, and some work has been done to make the rooftops more attractive, and featuring some new buildings.
The map as a whole is not so different, except for the removal of the gallery room and pitched roof, as this caused a bottleneck of players during the first beta test. Instead there is a open rooftop with chimneys which helps the map flow more. The gallery has been moved into the office area, and the office gone, so no more confusion over what props are moveable or not. The kitchen/flat has been opened out so less bottlenecks in this area too. The back of the flat opens out into a fire escape with a ladder leading up to the rooftops again, so finally there is a point to entering the flat.
The map has been uploaded to the Council Server, and ill be on the server tonight if anyone wants to see the new changes.

Hope to give you a look some time tonight.
The flat area was pointless, with only a couple of physics to use, but the fire escape should make this better.
I really like this as a coop map/DTM when we played on it last, but dm is also good.
