For some reason I keep getting this message. It arose from using a USB memory stick. Even though the stick has been removed, and that I have 'stopped' the device on numerous occasions I still get this message. It's a really minor thing and doesn't do any harm but it's beginning to really get on my f***ing nerves. That little icon sitting in my toolbar is a gatecrasher and I want to get rid of him!! Twisted Evil

Any ideas how?

btw - the clipping tool on vista is kinda neat

It's funny how the smaller things can be the most annoying sometimes. Stupid question but you tried plugging it back in then unplugging it again? Might be something wrong with the shell hardware detection service, PnP or the removable storage service. Go to your command prompt and type in services.msc. From the services window check to see if all settings are as they should be eg: started, stopped, automatic, or manual.
Edit: You could also try plugging the device back in, right clicking on the icon and hitting "eject". (Not really sure how Vista deals with this. My Vista computers are at the office and I'm at home Rolling Eyes)

Go to System/Hardware/Device manager and see if the Hub shows up as a problem and uninstall the device.
