I mean yeah I could probably play without it but man why make so many changes to a game that was never fixed to begin with you know!

I dunno I kinda doubt that they will stop speedskating but at the same time I don't know what to expect from them anymore *sigh*

On top of that even if they do it's not like we can really complain to them, they'll probably ignore any support tickets that don't have to do with actual bugs and or glitches (exploits) and then they don't listen to those either.

I like valve, they made an awesome game and concept here,I've always enjoyed any aspect of half life but they need to stop getting so "ahead" of themselves with this engine.Treat it like you do singleplayer and take care of it,I've never crashed once on a singleplayer hl game ever so I know it's possible to factor in how we bend the physics of the engine because I skate,speedorb and grav nade on singleplayer also and never had a problem.

In closing any person with the name REX CANNON, TANK ABRAHMS or Cornelius Cadillac pwns.

Woohoo! An update...

Changes/Additions
Refresh the storefront on purchase, so the store page switches to the "launch" button
Bug fixes
Fixed serverbrowser filters not correctly saving
Fixed storefront reloading multiple times on launch
Fixed incorrect layout of group chats
Fixed content server selection for clients in some locations
Fixed game overlay sometimes rendering transparent characters

Thank God they fixed the storefront - it was really bothering. And the overlay and group chats have just increased my playing experience 100%.

And yes - I am being sarcastic.

I know my stats aren't the best, but do you really need any of those tricks? Or do i do them already. [I run and jump a lot, but that's it?] Do you have to have scripts to use the tricks mentioned above? [better question for another area]

For me the chat works sometimes, but not always.
I wish they would leave the game alone!

Well according to keeper who seems to be being fed information from valve via timetabls, we are to be getting our update a month or two after the release of the orange box soo we still have a while to wait.
But he has been saying on the steam forums that valve will be fixing mostly memory leaks and the netcode.

In his words

"By netcode I mean: the hit registration, the "tripping" over objects, ghosting objects, prediction in general."

Also like many have you have said we'll get a nice useless stats thingy too xD

Hope this clears up some things for you.

One thing to note however, the net code will fix the autoreload bug, which out of all of the things, speedskate, bunny, speed ball grav jump etc is only one that is actually a bug. So we will most likely see that disapear.

So if I do understand, according to his word, we won't be able to do speedskate, bunny and fast orbs after a major update. Am I right ?

Thats not what i sed no lol. None of those things will be changed. They are not bugs, they are intentional additions to the game, added for reply value and skill.
The only thing that will change gameplay wise is the automatic reload bug.
Everything else will be left alone.
This updade is to sort out physics, and hit registraion.

The only good news for the admins community is that Mani-admin-plugin will be updated as Mani its autor is back on the scene and will update his plugin to be compatible with the Orange box engine.
