Ghost Dog_TSGK

I tried to watch a demo from nade about a speedhacker,it instantly froze up and I can only hear sound with the video moving every 20 seconds or so,I tried another demo of mine that used to work and it plays fine for 7-8 seconds then the sound is gone all except some in game sounds and server sounds.

In the top right corner I get the message, CL_FlushEntitypacket,update delta not found.

In the console this message is scrolling non stop,update delta not found, and, Netchannel:failed proccessing message svc_PacketEntities.

It almost seems like it happened as soon as I started the demo from speedhacker,but I've never seen anything like this.

Anybody know what this means?I've tried restarting and all the basic troubleshooting.

I would guess a corrupt download or its caused by the last update - same as the broken chat. Maybe its the combination of the playerchat that is contended in the demo and the actual bug.

You could give HL2DM: Launcher a shot for the demos. It's a little program that will load up older versions of DM so that you can play old demos and such. I'm not sure if it will work for you guys but there's no harm trying =). It can be found at the following link:

Specify your steam directory (or whatever it asks for =)) and have at it!
