Hi there, this is my first post on this forum so hi to everyone
Here's my problem : sometimes, the game freeze while 2 or 3 seconds, it happens often, and especially if I'm throwing a nade with the Ggun which results in a suicide -_-.
It also happens when I just run around the map.. I think it can't comes from my connection (Aol box 18mega coupled with a wifi router D-link on using Mac adress) and no more from my PC
- Pentium D820
- Motherboard Asus
- 1Gb DDR2 Hunday (533MHz) dual channel
- GPU : 6200TC
-HD 200 Go (sata 1)
- Windows XP familial
I hope this problem has never been reported on this forum,, if it's the case I'm sorry : /
Tanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum mate.
I've seen that sometimes while playing against you. When it happens we see you blocked on the map, we can kill you, but after 2 or 3 seconds you disappear and reappears somewhere away. Weird to see.

for HL2 i strongly recommend AMD/ATI
nvidia and intel are good also, but AMD and ATi is more compatible

It's not your internet connection but probable your WiFi.
I'm not familiar with D-Link, but i had a NetGear router (almost the cheapest) and i had the same problem. Now i'm using a router with MiMo and it's work a LOT better.

ati was recommended over nvidia once, but now their drivers are so bad and it won´t matter anyway now, the times of 9800pro are over.

Anyway, I don't think his problem comes from his graphic card.

Maybe I'm being to simple about this but I've seen this exact problem happen to my brother due to background programs running,he would freeze and pop up later where he was moving toward, his was a firewall but I assume many programs could cause this, check what you have running and disable what isnt needed and then try it.
