Tip #27: Lag is the best armour. So fire up your game and join a server located on the other side of the world (or have Virgin Media as your ISP where I live)
and watch as your stuttery form dazzles and confuses potential killers. Warning: may also reduce accuracy on your side too, so stock up on that SMG ammo! Wink

Tip #29: Avoid bad players. I have never learned to do this. That is why my points always drop back to the same level.

Tip #30: Avoid players at all. This will guarantee a stable amount of points and a steady kpd. You might have to learn surviving suicide kill attempts though.

Tip 32: You will notice that some of the more inexperienced players have a fixation on the melee weapons in hl2dm. An excellent tactic to use against these 'noobs' is to run toward them wielding a melee weapon, preferably the stun stick. "The brandishing of the holy stick," as it is usually called by these nublets, is somewhat akin to a mating call in hl2dm. The sight of the stick will cause these players to attempt to begin the dance of the stick with you. As they close in on you, no doubt displaying their perverted obsession, fondling the glowing stick eagerly, there is only one thing you have to remember: The rpg is the next weapon down from the stun stick.

Tip 33: Once you have blown up the offending stick user, it is important to press an oft-overlooked button on your keyboard. The "Caps Lock" key allows you to easily express your enthusiasm or disgust for the happenings of the game. For example: You have just blown up your stick-weilding opponent and gained your well-deserved '1pt'. The appropriate reaction to this scenario is "HAHAAHAHAHA NOOOB U SUCK HAHAHAAHA" Now, let's say you have blown up your opponent but have also killed yourself in the blast. You may want to say something like: "HAHAAHAHAHA NOOOB U SUCK HAHAHAAHA" Or perhaps you have been taken out by the rape-stick in a shameful experience that you'd rather soon forget. In this case you may find yourself typing: "HAHAAHAHAHA NOOOB U SUCK HAHAHAAHA". However you decide to express yourself, just remember that Caps Lock will get your point across more effectively and with more style than with any other form of communication.

Resurrecting old topic. looks like we missed one.

Tip 33: ALWAYS use the tall ladders on BS and V8. The elevators are way too crowded an overused
making you and easy target. It's much quicker and less obvious to go floor to ceiling
on these often overlooked tools. Your slow and steady climb with frequent
stops to fire make you very unpredictable and hard to hit.Wink

That aint true at all!!
You can't shoot down anything but an explosive barrel.
I hear you can deflect nades with GGun. Yeah, like that is more effective than just getting out of there!?!? try deflecting an impact nade and get back to me.
Try shooting a radiator next time it is launched at your face!
And shooting an impact grenade!?!? HAHAHAHAHA!
you can use an object as protection against the mag or bow but not the other way around.
Hell, i have never been successful blocking an RPG with anything.
Even mag shots and bow shots can disappear in the RPGs wake.

There sure is a lot of talk about the RPG in this thread. i thought TSGK frowned upon the RPG.

Bunny hopping away or backwards bunnyhopping when confronted with a melee freak, is the best method.
Course a head shot always works.

a funny thing to try if you dont already know it: smg nades are a like a physic, when you fire one like you fired a fast orb (change to gravgun and left click) it will explode right in front of you.

Tip 35 : Pay no attention to Breen
Tip 36 : Dont act as if HL2DM is a war game were you must camp in order to survive , there are so many campers nowerdays who seem to think its appropriate to use smg and ar2 and shotgun as a camping tool.

Slightly embarassed not ashamed. It is a phase all novices go through until they learn better. I asked why I was upsetting people in this very forum over 13 months ago and I have not camped since.
I am sure there are other players who are a lot better than me that camped when they were novices but they may not care to admit it. Laughing

Also, there is difference between campling and sniping. A sniper takes one or two shots and moves to another location to avoid detection. If you have a demo of me playing just prior to mid April 2007, you will find that I was probably sniping not camping. Laughing

Regardless of his prior camping, I think Zog's rocking beard more than absolves him from his past camping transgressions!!!!
