Map by gtamike

You can add it to your server if you want, let me know if you do. Smile

Arrow About map

Combat House is a made up map, you always spawn with a Shotgun and other weapons. There's one big TV screen in a room with a trap button, the trap is in the super charger room. NAME: The Crusher:lol: Good weapon lay out. There's lots of ways to get in and out of the house, there's 16 over spawns, and good fps and gameplay. This is my best work yet took some time to make. Smile

maybe you could use some displacements for the outside area to make it a bit more "realistic".

Nice map, quite small with lots of weapons for fast gameplay. Nice work Razz

however i spotted a bug/error or something. Where the melons are, above that you can run on the little wooden part. Well you can run across the air to the other "melon hut" and physics dont land where you running across Confused

There is something similar on overwatch below the rpg for those who have seen/noticed that..

this is your best map yet! I really like the look of it and the gameplay is good.

you may want to check to make sure that the gas tank and watermellon respawns in the corner on the map. (they were not for me on the last version)

How came that the 1st Version wasnt Linux compatible?

Btw. is dm_combat_house_v1_final the final name?

Wouldnt it be called dm_combat_house_final or only dm_combat_house (without the v1) normaly?
Just wondering because the v1, v2, v3 suggests it wouldnt be finished yet. Same as rc1, rc2 and rc3. Wink

I really hate ladders some ladders make some maps not work on linux servers. So I had to remove my ladder, blood sucker clan send me there ladder that works on linux. (my one small ladder made the map not work on linux) Confused

Well after 3 hours exporting from hammer (at night) I changed the name to final with out thinking. Rolling Eyes only a name to me the map is the main thing. Wink

Thanks is my best work yet. Surprised

I always wondered why some maps just wont run at our Linux Servers. Never knew its related to the Ladders. Thanks for the info Smile

Indeed, the name isnt important. Was only confussed to see "v1" and "final" together. Not a big deal. Very Happy

Arrow Update list (added)

new room
2 more vents
Removed that dark shadow outside
Better light outside
Added 3 cool sounds
more physic's
Added hit textures to boost FPS
flare next to ladder
Removed 1 slam
added sparks under 2 lights
More decals on the house
and fixed bugs.

Just gave this map a run through on 600 grav and it felt absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to actually play a game on it Very Happy .

One very minor thing, an armor pickup (or something) on the roof of the sawblade-and-scary-hook room would be awesome.

this is a master piece of mapping. I reallly love it. It has Duke Nukem 3D influence all over it. Very lovely map. I can't wait to play this with at least 10 other people. It would be madness. Just pure utter madness. A map very well done! *bows down in respect* Mr. Green

I've been working on a V3 I didn't think I would. Rolling Eyes I've been getting some feedback and I fill that a version 3 is needed also idea's having been coming to my head. Idea

dm_combat_house_v3 is out Very Happy

Update List Wink

. Added player clip at the top of the stairs (so you won’t fall off the house, if you have problems going up stairs)

. Added dripping Blood in trap room (works when entering the room)

. Added some arrows above invisible wall (to show the invisible wall as not a bug)

. Added another vent

. Added explosive some drink cans by vending machine Laughing

. Added a button on vending machine (to show it’s out of order)

. Added a heath pack under first stairs

. Added another button by the trap room (now you can put slams outside the room and when tripped door will shut)

. Added a RPG in some Unbreakable glass (funny to watch people try to shoot the glass)

. Remade windows (bigger and now alot easier to jump out of windows)

. Remade platforms holding the invisible wall

. Razed garage door (now you won’t fall off when used the teleport)

. Changed some textures

. Removed a cubemap from the map now theirs is one

. Removed the Shotgun from spawn (in other versions you spawned with Shotgun and some people didn’t like the idea of that)

. And fixed some small texture bugs also added more nodraw textures

Realy enjoyed playing the last version. Funny to see that people still use the suitcharger and take a big risk when walking into the crusher Razz . Not a good idea.Keep in mind that I am probably watching and just about to push the button Smile Twisted Evil
