i'm on my dad's hardrive (I use the same computer with diferent HD's)

bios doesnt detect primary master AKA hardrive is fucked.

in early 2005, it wasnt the hard drive that fucked, it was the ATA cable connected to it, the reason was unknown, but i was almost 2 years without playing HL2DM with it!

the money i won is in my dad's bank account, i told him to never let me use it in any circunstances, so im pretty much fucked.

my bro has a degree in computer engeneering (hows that spelled again?)
and hes coming to see what can we do about it..

Il lstill be around.. but don't expect me playing Source games :s

This happened to me last year, after several attempts to reserect the dead i brought a new one. Its final resting place is the damn slot where the Fu**er died, leaving me to install every damn program i had ever installed. Worse someof the downloaded ones arn't available or some smuck is charging for it Evil or Very Mad

next time you should keep all of your programs, music, all important stuff and store it on a second harddrive. thats what i do. and my computer has died atleast 20 times this past couple of months. but to be sure that its really dead. try pluggin it in anotha computer

That's unfortunate, I had similar problems (with corruption mainly) earlier this year but managed to save it with a cleanup program, system mechanic I think it's called. *Phew*

Err also by cruel coincidence, I can't play any games either. My graphics card had broken and the temporary replacement only has 1mb memory. Crying or Very sad

the other my power supply went off aswell and i replaced with an old one, works fine but maybe thats why the hd isnt working

what happened to your cs career?

you could get a 80gb harddrive for 35€, breen breen breen, instead of wasting time with spamming go do a job for one day somewhere and buy your drive. or go to ebay and buy a used one for even less.

My dad and me use the same PC, with diferent OS's and HD's (this one is vista!)

my old one was 120GB, this one is 40, but half space is a partition, and i only have 1GB left, which means i cant install HL2 :\

besides.. VISTA! too buggy for games atm.

i can play CS, cuz cs has been on this computer since pretty much 2004 (updated to vista in end 2006)

but im not a dumbass, there is 2 accounts in my dad's HD, one for him and one for me! Very Happy

you guys could donate some money for me.. for my hd fix^^
