Hi all,

I started playing this game not too long ago, couple of months. It didn't take long before I assumed some basic standards, my own etiquette that I later found is very much the same as TSGK's. Just basic stuff like no spawn killing, no RPG whoring etc, things you pick up after an enemy decides to not kill you when you spawn or when he draws his stick when you do.

I'll stop the bit of RPG-ing I do against Overwatch campers.

What I'd like to know from you guys is if my stats are nearly sufficient, considering I almost only play servers VII and XIII, Lockdown and Overwatch often filled with new players that can be killed by your breath, depending on what you had for lunch.

If I want to all-out practice for a try-out, what maps and servers should I play?

I'm pretty sure that skill-wise, it would be better to wait another couple of weeks / months but hey, I've been wrong before and would be proud to have that _TSGK attached to my name.

your stats look ok except for some swearing. even if people do bad things like camping, you shouldn´t swear at them.

you should play dm_killbox_tsgk_v8, dm_killbox_bs_tsgk_v3b, dm_domebox_tsgk, dm_donutbox_rc4 I think.

Definitely got some skills there, just practice on the killboxes a bit more to get used to the super players.

The RPG is not a problem, I hate that thing and don't mind not using it at all anymore.

I played on server I tonight and had great fun with many of the names I've come to know from this forum, diet, knife, pure_slut, rublis, gangster etc.

My kpd was 1.00 which was better than I expected on a server with a lot of TSGK guys playing.

I'll be playing the killbox maps from now on and I'll ask for a try out when I do a 1.3 KPD on those servers and don't get trashed by each and every one of you, in other words, when I think I fit in with you guys skill-wise.

No that was another Cannon. I've run into at least 2 HL2DM Cannon Fodders, 1 from TBR, 1 from AGC I think. Makes me wonder if maybe I should change my name, though I'm quite fond of it.

Thanks Diet, appreciate that, enjoyed playing you this week.

I've been playing servers I and II for the past week or so and feel like I am beginning to get the hang of killbox combat. I notice that I'm improving but do that with a lot of grenade and physics spamming, raining down nades from above and flinging big objects into groups of players.

I think some training, tips, and 1v1 from one or more of you really good players could give me the little push I need to go from the current 1.1 KPD I do on killboxes to one that would make me elligible for a tryout.

If any of you wouldn't mind spending some time on improving my skills, let me know here or by PM or in game.

1v1 practice is what you need. There's a vast difference between mp and 1v1. The hardest thing is locating the other player.

I will give you 1 top tip here, when you are killed you can still look around the map, use this time to watch which direction the other player is moving to, so when you respawn you should have an idea where they are.

Ok, time for an update on my request.

At the time of my first request, I was quite good with physics and grenades and I was developing a decent aim with .357 and bow. My movement was very bad though, so I had to learn to strafe jump and bunny hop. For that, I had to rearrange all my binds.

I've had help on movement from some great players, I would like to mention Knife, GTA_Mike, Dr Breen, Diet, StonedCabbage, Nex7one, Nade Maeggs, Crazy Steffen, Controllerboy, Massif. I'm sure I forget some people here.

While I was working on movement and getting used to new binds, my game suffered badly. It took me much longer than I anticipated to get back to the KPD's that I got before I made the changes.

As from this week, I feel that I am on the way up with the development of my skills, I hope something has clicked and that my game will continue to improve from now on. It's not up to TSGK standards yet, but I hope to get close to that soon.

I'll update before the end of this month, so within the 2 month period after my original request.

In the mean time, if they don't get your physics, make sure they fall by your stick Wink
