Subject description: Our own Servers freeze alltime and i miss 50% of all Servers on my List

Hello there,

just wondered why i only get 15 TSGK Servers at my List (some are showed with 1999 Ping).

Normaly i get around 800-850 Servers at the full List but actual only ~450...

Our own Servers use to freeze all the time and dont show up anymore after some minutes.

I restarted srcds alone - doesnt work for long
I restarted the whole debian root server - doesnt work eighter...

Whatever i try, after less then 10 Minutes they are frozen again and away from the list. I cant even use the console anymore. The whole Console is frozen and i need to kill the unique Process manual...

Its no problem to restart but it wont work for longer then a few minutes until next crash. Both srcds applications are started with -autoupdate and i doubt that my versions are outdated in follow of that. In case of a crash they would restart fromself after 10 seconds but if they freeze... ?

I wonder how a Steam Client Update can effect the Servers?? Someone els who noticed anything like said above?

I could continue with restarting the server and hope for the best but i guess its useless and there must be a reason for it. The Servers worked fine without any break or even problems last 2-3 weeks.

It started yesterday evening with the DM-Server and meanwhile both are down.

Please help

Yes, it started yesterday night, servers goes offline in the list, but they aren't, and then 5 minutes later they pop again up.
It doesn't affect players who are on the servers.
Sound like a probleme with servers list refreshement.

Im having some similar problems. Many servers not appearing, but my hlsw console seems to thing they are. Reports come back to me that the servers act very strangly while they are "apparently offline in the server list", huge lag spikes and freezes. I dunno sigh, valve piss me off.
I was hoping the steam update would be accompanyed by our linux server update for dm (due soon), to replace that dodgy fix they gave us from the march update when they moved us to v12. Back then, every linux server went down, and they wrote the fix in about 3 hours (the actualy update took 2 months). From seeing the state of most of the linux servers around at the moment, i would have said 3 hours isnt enough lol. (dunno if anyone else has noticed, but in linux servers, there is often a short delay in typeing and sending a msg in the new txt box, and it appearing on screen). Valve are aware that linux is now unstable becuase of that and they assured me that it is now their priority over the next update schedualed for july. Fingers crossed then for the beginning of june, hopefully then our linux fix should be here, and put our servers back above windows.
