Explosive_v8 Subject description: My first try |

Hey all.
I just wanted to show you guys a pic of my first selfmade map.
As you can see, I like explosions alot!
Hammer was very tough but gtamike made it so much easier for me.
So I also would like to thank all mappers in hldm-community. Now I know
how hard it is to create something special. Keep it up guys!

Nice map
Think of all the havoc those explosive barrels will cause!
It would be incredibly hard to resist throwing a grenade into the middle to set off an ultimate cluster bomb!

That was the whole idea
At first there were even more barrels and fuel cannisters
The explosions where very cool .

Looks good knife. May i suggest that you put the barrels on the very top level, it may help the newbies to learn a new weapon and leave off the camping smg

r_drawparticles [0,1] - If disabled, particle effects - which includes smoke and explosions - will not be drawn. This can greatly improve performance around such effects at the cost of a great deal of realism.
As it says, explosions may not look as good, but it could help fps during explosions.

Thx, I will have a look into it. This is found in the properties of the barrel?

If it's a console code I can let you know how to put the code into the map so it will run on map load.

Funny to look into this topic again
I am working on a even more explosive map now. This one will blow your minds . This map will be a killbox but not like the killboxes we have experienced today .
I had a problem with dropping fps during the massive explosions like MeekMeekle stated above. But know I have a feeling that I have overcome this problem . Thanks to alot of playtests with gtamike_TSGK, Shimmy_TSGK and Cannon Foddr_TSGK. I will update this topic with screenshots very very soon . Your comments, help and even bad criticism are always welcome. I have a very strong and muscled back...
