Hey

Does anyone know (well i'm sure some of you do) how to put the sounds and all the messages that come up on screen onto a LAN created game?

I've been playing on your servers for a while now and they're pretty darn good!

I was just wondering how or what you do to set it all up with the "soanso is dominating" and all the sounds you can type in and they play.

Please help

You need Mani admin plugin and the Quake sounds pack available here:

Hey

I got to the part where you download the files, create the file for hl mp then put it into the correct folder.

Now the website is saying all this stuff about mani_reverse_admin_flags and setting up the cfg and it's all blank to me. I'm a real noob at this so could you go through it step by step so i can understand what is gion on please?

(or point me in the direction of a site that will)

If all the files are in the right folder then you must have:

cfg/mani_quake_sounds.cfg
cfg/mani_server.cfg
cfg/mani_admin_plugin/quakesoundlist.txt

Your Quake sounds pack (mp3 files) is inside:
sound/quake/

Edit mani_quake_sounds.cfg and search for mani_quake_sounds
Them add the value 1 if to 0 which does:
mani_quake_sounds 1

Search for mani_quake_humiliation_weapon and mani_quake_humiliation_weapon2 and then replace by:
mani_quake_humiliation_weapon "stunstick"
mani_quake_humiliation_weapon2 "crowbar"

Save the file.

Edit mani_server.cfg and search for mani_sounds_auto_download
Then add the value 1 if to 0 which does:
mani_sounds_auto_download 1

Search for mani_player_settings_sounds then add the value 1 if to zero which does:
mani_player_settings_sounds 1

Search for exec mani_quake_sounds.cfg if present then don't remove, if not found then add it:
exec mani_quake_sounds.cfg

Save the file.

You'r done, restart the server.
