So I got a lot of game vouchers and waddled into the shop and bought some games that I heard good things about: FEAR, Day of Defeat Source, Battlefront 2(I think this it what it's called) and something else I can't remember.

I've tried CSS recently but I'm not too keen on it. A lot of waiting around. It didn't grab me instantly like HL2DM did. Maybe I'll give it another go.

I've loaded up DOD and I think I like it, probably because it has a lot of sniping (em camping) potential. But I'm not sure just how good the gameplay is. The great thing about HL2DM is that you discover new things, new techniques.

I don't know when I'll get time to play the others...

So, if I like HL2DM so much - what other games are out there that I should try (especially in terms of online gaming)? I've some vouchers left Very Happy

Call of Duty eh? Well I liked the single player game so maybe I'll buy that...

Need for Speed? Hardly an FPS?!!! Doubt if it's my cup of tea. I don't like driving in real life so driving games aint my thing Very Happy

Oh and Role playing sounds silly too... so no WoW Rolling Eyes

Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory is a pretty amazing team-based FPS. It's free, too.

grrr forget, u can try Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Singleplayer is awesome, have not tryed MP, but SP is so goood!

You should buy Garry's Mod 10 (if you dont already have)

Eets, a new game on steam is SOOO COOL! a little childish but very addictive

you should try playing mods, HL1 and HL2, they are the best (well they are Neutral

)

other games... uhm..

Mini Car Racing is very cool, addictive
Pearl Harbor: Zero Hour, is a bit old game, ( you ride plains!! )

Im also found of the Legendary Freecell!

well the multiplayer component of FEAR is out for free www.joinfear.com it's quite awesome check it out...but very taxing...
BattleField 2 is so crazy.... It's quite a nice game 64 player battes are intense as usual and your ranking is tracked online so the better you perform you could unlock special weapons and awards of course....
Battliefield 2145 is the futaristic one and it's supposedly very nice... check that out too...

CoD 2 is so much fun Very Happy

CoD 3 is out too check it out but it's slower and more realistic than CoD 2

on the rpg front Very Happy

Guild Wars is an amazing game, loads of fun, and it's free to play Very Happy

me,my brother and my best friend back home are the big chiefs there...

The Elders scroll oblivion is super intense... this game will literally launch you into a world of crazyness... it's a huge world... very interactive... very beautiful... and well if it's quite taxing you can always play Morrowind which is the older version Very Happy

Oh I saw Heroes Of Might and Magic: Dark Messaih for 32 euros at Hmv
it's looks nice, plays nice but reviews sucked so i dunno about that...

if you want recommendations of other platforms like psp ds ps2 just post back Very Happy

I found Morrowind to be interesting but a bit... boring! I walked around a lot. (I've no patience) Embarassed

BTW, I'm studying too at the moment. Exams on Tues, grrr. Corporate Finance.....zzzzzzzzzzzz

Diet if you like fps I recommend you buy Far-Cry. Its one of the most beautfiful fps ever made, the A.I. is challenging and its about 3 years old now so it should be cheap Very Happy

Only picked up Far Cry myself recently - great game Very Happy

On budget now too Cool

If you like arcade racing I highly recommend Outrun 2: Coast to Coast - great fun and far faster than those NFS games Very Happy

half life 2 is my 3rd most played game ever.

#1 is worms armageddon --- i used to be an ultra pro at ninja rope matches (propers) (rope races) and got up to 4th place at the worms 2 ladder!

#2 subspace : trench wars ctf .. lol used to play this 7 years ago!! its an overhead ship game .. i used the ship with the insta gib shots!

I personally enjoy FEAR. The single player mode is amazing. I'm not too sure about the multiplayer mode though - never tried it.

Prey has a great single player too.

DOOM 3 was great fun and scary as Hell. I'm old school so I am biased towards this game. the original DOOM was my first computer game.

Resident Evil 4. I guess it's on PC now. This is definitely in my top 3. It's not like the other REs but is a great change of pace for the series.

Hl2CTF still is my favorite, DM is my second, You might say CTF has such a small community. True, But a close knit community of killers =D If you havent tried it, go to www.hl2ctf.com and download the 1.7 version!!! the only way to build a community is to advertise! Anywho I liked doom 3 i have gotten into "hell" and i started back to ctf, because things started getting repetitive. CTF FTW!!! Laughing

I first played hl2ctf about 3 months ago.. I felt like a noob playing it. I was used to the weapon bindings fron hl2dm and felt like I needed to relearn the game LOL!

I played on the fight club servers.

Oblivion is another victim of multiplatform game development it's eye candy but it's not a pc game. it's a lame excuse of a game compared to morrowind.

Yep F.E.A.R single player is really good, tense atmosphere and really challenging a.i., plus the type 7 particle weapon is the coolest gun ever *drools*.

Ive tried to play ctf numerous times but no one is ever on the servers Crying or Very sad

I used to play DOD:S for CAL. It got boring pretty quick, but its great if there is no obligation to play. One downside is that campers can lay down to shoot more accurately, but its not a huge problem.

I agree with Shimmy. Morrowind has a way better story, but oblivion looks pretty.

I heard about a game called rakion. softnyx.net or something. It's completely free, but i could never get it to work.

HL2 Episode 1 is short.

Fear is way too fast for me.

Painkiller is good, but it hardly held my attention.

I like CS:S about once a week, and on a gungame map.

I hate it when im eating pizza though, and all the cheese slides off while im eating it, cause it burns my throat, but if i stop chewing it will get on my face.

I can't console game much anymore. >Golden eye n64<

Linux is a fun game.
