Lag Problem... Subject description: Need help |
|
I urgently need help in hl2dm, because I on every server lagge. I lagge from a Ping of 69, and generel everywhere. If I am on a server where 15 people nothing at all is a matter virtually playing, my Ping shuts to 100 and nothing is playable More liquidly. I have tried everything so far whether it can lie with the graphic arts map, or the PC, something in the hardware. This is the result the PC completely OK is. It is him fall this my Internet is too slow, I have DSL 1000. Is there still any consolen order could save me? If somebody council knows he should announce himself please to me. If I no possibility find this I hl2dm again properly to plays is able to, I will say goodbye for a few weeks from the play. It has no sense and does no fun if I always stagnant plays to me

It probably is your ISP.
Open start/programs/accessories/command prompt. Type tracecert www.tsgk.com
This will trace you data packet - are there any holdups? My guess is that you will see a large ping at one of your ISP servers. If so get onto them.

Go to run and then type cmd and hit return,it will bring up the command prompt that diet talked about, then just follow his steps

I know you have a router. I think the firstline shows that there are no problems with your LAN. The 2nd line is between your router/modem and your ISP where there are problems (* = timeout). I know, for testing opurposes, you bypassed your router and tried PC to modem but got the same results.
This suggests to me that your problem is with your ISP provider. I think this is fritz.fon.box? In any event there are timeouts between this and mcbone.net. You're also getting delays between mcbone.net's own servers.
I would ring your up and complain about slow connectivity. They may have you configured incorrectly.
Some others might have better ideas?

fritz! box fon is his router. mcbone.net is the backbone of his isp I think. so the issue is with the isp or there is a problem with his dsl connection. call the telekom and tell them you have problems with your dsl connection. they will check it and if there is no problem ask your isp.

A ping of 70ms is not so bad really - your ISP will probably not offer any guarantee of latency so they may just turn round and tell you bugger off.
You should also check there is nothing else running on your PC that may be eating your bandwidth (p2p software etc.). From the command prompt do:
ping www.tsgk.com -t
and leave it running for an hour (go outside and play in the sunshine) - press ctrl + c to break. This does a recursive ping and will give you a min/avg/max score - if the avg is higher that 60/70ms then there might be something causing it to spike occasionally.
This may be considered a Denial Of Service attack by Osiris though and he will come round and smack your bottom...

The timeout may have been that his ISP has tracert blocked. Many companies refuse ICMP packets to reduce the strain of ping tests, and reduce the likelihood of a DoS attack.
Make sure that no one that shares your connection with you is running any Peer to Peer sharing software; that is the number 1 connection destroyer.
Also, since it is DSL, you may just do a general test:
http://speedtest.net/
If you are getting 1000kbps down (assuming that is what you pay for) to your nearest server, you should be fine (keep in mind that gaming uses both upload and download speed.) If not, it may be that the company set up one of the filters wrong, or that you house has poor wiring. You can get all kinds of NEXT with DSL, especially since phone lines are not usually well maintained.
Just try to get someone from the ISP to come to your home and see your situation, so they can run tests.
Good Luck
