Hi, this is my new map for dm, its set in City 17 before the uprising. Play is set in a quiet courtyard surrounded by appartment buildings, visibility is high but i feel ive optimized the map as best i can without defeating the object of the initial idea. Lots of fun bits like CCTV and a garage door func_physbox, pond and walk-in wardrobe.

I will recommend to you to join your map with the post by using the attachement option, this way everyone can download it.
And yes, we will take a look at this map, and try to run it on server full of players to get an idea

Ok, the first run has been done on TSGK Serv V with arround 14 players.
Personnaly i loved the map, the players loved it too i think for a majority.
It's a fun map to play, there is enough physics to trow and the stunstick/crowbar on this map is dominant
Moving inside the builiding is ok, escaping trough the windows is easy too, healt generator and suit charger are well placed.
Also, now, what you should do to give to this map more fun for the gameplay.
There is a lack of weapons, like crossbow and grenades and i almost never see an orbs.
You can remove the RPG if there is one...
Sometime the FPS go under 17... most of the time inside the building.
Nice works, nice map.

An update has been attached with more weapons, grenade, orbs, and the crossbow has been moved to a more visible position. The part of the map that sometimes ran at 17fps has been modified and should get an extra 3-4 fps!!

I'm also working on a new concept, a killbox style wetlands map, although it wont be a box cus its outside. But itll apply similiarities, should be fun.

Did you change the map name?
Because if you have do a modification, the new map must have a new name (to avoid map conflict).

Ok, this V3 is perfect now i think, we run it on Serv V again, with arround 14 players, no lag, all fine, good gameplay and everyone sound to love the map.
Also now, if you want us to run it permanently on your servers, there is 2 things to do:
1. The map should not have RPG (i don't know if there is one because RPG are deactivated on our servers).
2. And to make it official, the map must have a TSGK logo inside with a TSGK extension on it name. Then we will put it on the forum as an official TSGK map on a sticky tread (dm_council_tsgk), this make the map official, it didn't mean that it was created by TSGK don't be worry you still the only one autor of the map.
I have some TSGK vtf file if you are interested.
If you'r not interested, that's all fine, it's a very good map, also if you made some other don't hesitate to post them here.

Hi, thanks thats really good to hear this is why i made the map to get it on a server! if u could send me the vtfs that wud be great i think i have a blank wall to place it on! lol. Or just attach it to this thread and i will collect it. I removed the rpg. I should be posting a beta of another map soon. thanks

It's better to pack them inside the BSP, if you know how to do it, if not it's ok, just use the path /materials/decals/custom/tsgk/ for the decals (if you already play on TSGK Servers, you should already have our decals inside this folder).
Note: Since a valve update, you can't pack a vtf as a decal. It dosen't work anymore, you have to pack a vts as a texture.
That mean you have to add the vtfs as a texture on the map and not as a decal.
Just add a maximum of 2 vtfs inside the map, we don't need more than 2 of them. Like the big Corn and the big TSGK.
