Thinking of buying a SSD to speed up single player games.
I currently have a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 which only has 3gb connecters

I can get a Pcie card to boost upto 6gbs, but currently have a ausus DX sound card using this slot so i have 7.1 surround sound. The gigabyte web site (to use onboard sound) says i need a HD front panel, but i can't find anyware that sells this, which has four outputs??? or can i run 2 things out of a single pcei slot?

should i stick with the native 3gbs SSD or is it worth getting the 6gbs ssd and cards

Help and advice appreciated Embarassed

Or you could change the game setting to EASY.

You shouldn't have to buy it because it is a part of your tower, most of the tower have a Front HD audio with 2 connections, headphone and microphone.
If i'm not wrong you may be able to use them for your 7.1 speaker system using the soundcard driver software management which allow you to assign each ouput as you want (microphone, heaphone, 2.1, 7.1 etc etc).

Thx for the reply Osiris, the front panel header has 2 outputs, but my surround system has 4 cables and why i brought the xonar dx instead of using the motherboard onboard sound.

But what i really want to know is it worth buying a card to fit in the pcie x1 slot so i can get a 6gbs SSD or its not worth the expense and stick with a 3gbs SSD in one of the SATA slots?
