The navidia TI range have an overclocking pedigeree. I ran mine up to 930 and chickened out, its a new card and it is not needed at the moment. It ran stable at 56C. so I recon it will do the 950.
When I think my oc 9800 used 250W and kept my feet warm, it is as you say, a pleasure to have something that performs so well and does not take continiual monitoring. At default oc setting the heatsink is barely warm to touch.

It don't make paly any better but OMG it make me FEEL GOOD. Very Happy

Your card will do 950 easily, no need to worry.

Although its not really needed.

I spent some more time experimenting OC, and it seems, raising the fan speed to 60%, allowed to get to 950mhz stable.
At 60% fan speed, starts to get a tad noisy. A small whisper starts to show up.

up from 60% its just to noisy for my taste.

But temps got even lower, 60Cº max this time, running 3dmark11. didnt tested it with a game though...

I pushed it further, 965mhz started to show artifacts, and so i stoped the 3dmark run. and not going to push it further.

Considering its the reference model (FPB: Free Performance Boost, 822mhz vs 850mhz) :

http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=01G-P3-1561-AR&family=GeForce 500 Series Family&sw=

Not bad to be able to achieve the 950mhz stable.
And this at stock voltage, i never change the voltage in gpus, for my use its just not worth it. But i feel it would be able to reach 1ghz with a bit extra voltage.

Anyway, ill keep it at 900mhz, already gives some extra juice, dont need anymore. Its just fun to see where it can go and my OC testing ends here.

Some new changes.

- Corsair HX-750W PSU
- Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz Vengeance RAM
- Corsair H60 Cooler
- Fractal Design Arc Midi Case

Not many pics, finished the build during night, wasnt in mood for fancy hardware pics.

Some OC screenshots to, im quite happy with this cooler, although the fan that comes with it, is indeed noisy, gonna change it soon.

The maximum OC i could boot up windows was 4,37Ghz. Not stable though... and i was already pushing more voltage than i wanted, but im pretty sure it is able to do 4.4ghz stable.

Just for note, with the intel stock cooler, it was reaching 75 degrees at only 3,2ghz, 1,08 volts.

Cheers

Description   This is how im leaving it. from 3,8ghz and up, it eats voltage as u can see from the pics. Does not compensate. and im considering lowering to 3,6ghz to get lower voltage and temps.

Nice!

You upgrade a lot. Where do you work lol? Or better, where are you going to put your ''old'' hardware (as it is still pretty decent)? Re-sell it to somebody or keep it for collection?

I sell all my previous hardware. Would be a waste otherwise. As i usually dont keep them too long, i can make decent money out of those parts, and dont spend much extra money for the new parts.
But its all relative actually. GFX card is the most frequent change i do.

Although, right now, all these changes were in mind to keep them for longer.

I do some extra work at home, fixing pcs (as long as i can fix them..) or building pcs for anyone interested in upgrade.
