Snow here is pretty bad. People falling like flies... I don't want to laugh at someone's misfortune - but it's hard not to. Watch clip 10 secs in

West to the west of the USA and the turn right and travel about 80 km and I am in Ancorage Alaska. Brrrrrrrrrrrr Surprised
Follow 61 degrees North, thats where I live, give or take a few killometers, and then thats cold and lodsa snow. But we got almost none - just happen to be surrounded by warm water. Not the Gulf Stream - it is called the North Atlantic drift by the time it gets this far north.

When it does happen, and thats about once ever 10 years, its megga bad.
3 meters in 24 hours. Thats what I call snow. I got some slides of the events so it's not easy to post a pic

Awe Squid that's nice.

They were lucky not to get caught up in that spatial time warp to the left of them.

Very Seasonal!!?

As a trucker in Essex stops for a red light, a blonde in her car pulls up alongside.

She jumps out of her car, runs up to his truck, and knocks on the door.

The trucker lowers the window, and she says,

'Hi, my name is Sharon and you are losing some of your load.

The trucker ignores her and proceeds down the street.

When the truck stops for another red light, the girl again catches up.

She jumps out of her car, runs up to his truck, and knocks on the door.

The trucker lowers the window, and she says,

'Hi, my name is Sharon and you are losing some of your load.'

Shaking his head, the trucker ignores her again and continues down the
street.

At the third red light, the same thing happens again. All out of breath,
the blonde gets out of her car, runs up, knocks on the truck door

The trucker lowers the window again she says, 'Hi, my name is Sharon and
you are losing some of your load!’

When the light turns green, the trucker revs up and races to the next light. When he stops this time, he hurriedly gets out of the truck, and runs back
to the blonde

He knocks on her window, and as she lowers it, he says.......

Hi, my name is Kevin and I'm driving a ****ing gritter!'

This seems to be the only suitable place for this because its sort of weather related ~

Here is an early satellite picture of the ash cloud from the volcano in Iceland that closed all UK airports. I'm about 700 miles away but in the direct line of the ash plume. I can't see anything because it is cloudy at the moment but it has rained a little. The office window is covered in minute specks of volcanic ash. The ash is expected to drift over the entire UK and a fair bit of Europe you might be able to see some spectacular susunsets if the sky is clear and you are suitably placed.

We have had some ash fallout here and everything is covered in a thin layer of fine particles. There was a definate smell of hydrogen sulphide when it rained at 2100 yesterday.
Its all of northern Europe now and there are only a few flight getting in and out of Glasgow and Prestwick which you can see from the chart below, have narrowly missed the ash cloud. N. Europe and the UK are closed for a second day but it could be a lot longer depending on how the eruption develops.
