Hello. Can somebody help me?

I have a problem with my steam, if i join to the server, then automtic trows out from the server.
With all server i have problem, also i can´t connect to all server. And i can´t my steam turns off,
but i can with Task Manager turns off, there i go to the Processe and running hl2.exe .
And if i wanna turns off Steam, he write :
One or more STEAM applications are currently running.
STEAM order to leave, you must first one all-STEAM applications.

P.S I thought with new windows will be better,but i have same problem.

..try to re-install Steam or virtualize another O.S with Vmware or Virtuabox then install steam in the virtualized system and try if it work.
If it works then check your Xp o Vista and try to restore a backup or install a new copy. I don't think it can be steam probably your operating system(O.S)...available for any clarification

sound like you may need a fresh install of steam if its doing it for all games and not just HL2DM.


Try raising a support ticket @ valve forums as well

Reinstall steam and submit a Ticket if this wont work.
I had those glitchs sometimes , but i fixed those buy going offline in steam via Task Manager. than just restarting steam.
Oh, if i understood right ,than it might be the bug some are having. HL2.exe doesnt close after you quit throught the console command "quit" or "quti" and the overlay hangs in the processes aswell.
Try to Kill those 2 after you have quit the game , if thay are in the Task Manager processes. that could fix the problem.

Hello again.

Thanks for the help.
Now all is oke again.
I don´t know why, because i made nothing, every day was better and now i have nothing problem with steam account.
I can again play normally.
