since we have new pcs with X2 5200+, 1gb ram and 7300gt at school we can play some newer games too so I took an offline version of dm to school and installed it on 6 pcs. but I have to say they are mostly all campers, rpg and smg abusers, the typical "fresh meat" behavior Razz

they requested CS:S, but I said:no, we play hl2dm. Laughing

next time I´ll take some maps with me (killboxes)

they liked the rpg at first but after telling them to stop the rpg because its annoying they stopped. they liked overwatch, but I dont think we will play it in future, not enough weapons.

When i started out there was a few BBC computers at school and the ZX81 computer came out when i was about 7.
I can remember getting this computer for xmas, after unpacking and getting cables in correct place out came the tape recorder/player where the game took 7 minutes of squeaking noises to load up the texted based adventure game Shocked

To cap this storey off we had just managed to load the game and had 5 mins playing. Front door bell went, we all went to see my Auntie arrive came back and our puppy had chewed through a cable on the computer. Repair and another 7 minutes to reload game Crying or Very sad

got it on the network again after they had deleted it. had a nice game with 7 players and this time with our maps (killbox_tsgk, dombox_tsgk, donutbox_tsgk, council_tsgk) on killbox_tsgk I got a holy shit (34:0), too bad there where no quake sounds. I dont think its possible for the "create server" option in the game to have server additions like quake sounds or am I mistaken?

2 players teamed up and began hunting me Laughing

depends on how much they port over. I didn´t like it in ep2. if they just fixed the major bugs its ok the way it is now.

they have restricted the hdd size for normal users to 50mb so we can´t put it on anymore. lasted for a few weeks, but then it was not possible anymore.

Our school is building a new building [damn my english] as a celebration of 100 years of service.

The new building will have a cafeteria [first time in cypriot schools], extra classes, labs, PC rooms.

The cafeteria will serve as an internet cafe everyday. the owner asked me for a list of games. i did one [hl2dm first game written ofc Very Happy

]. pc's will have a huge collection of games, and most probably instead of putting 20 steam games they gonna take the full Valve pack along with everything else Smile

Also it was and will be proposed again by the school student commitiee for the "i-cafe" to be used as afternoon gaming club of the school, like learn games, play them and have fun while doing it, which might probably happen.

Building will be in use by end of march Very Happy

Lolz..i think in our School Students know more from internet that the teacher of PC lessons that took Courses.... xD We calll ours "Thee Excel Master" Laughing

She only tells us to Do Excel works.... >_>

We use Windows 98 (at least in my option), just 10 years late (but what is 10 years in computing..). So I'm not excpecting for them to run HL²DM. Sad

When I see the computers that the other class in my school use, they could run Crysis instead of Excel..

100MB limit!?!!?!?! They gave me a stinking 1MB when I was at school then when I got to Year 10 we got upgraded to 2MB for Coursework Space, I had about 20 Floppy disks on me at a time because of that, then I got banned from accessing the C:\ on any computer because I was installing Napster and dling songs. In true Cabbage fasion I had my revenge because I guessed the password to the BIO's, and it was the same on every computer Rolling Eyes

RM computers and the BIO's password was RM, the fun I had Very Happy

on the subject of school and computers...

during my High School senior year ( i am currently a sophomore), all freshman that year and following will receive laptops for them to keep. They get to carry it around everywhere. sophomores, Juniors and seniors get nothing >.>

That's 1337, unfortunately our school computers can only run the original Half Life DM.
