I was allways glad with my nvidia cards. Once i decided to buy a ati card and i used it for maybe 3 month untill i decided to cuck it out. I had only problems with ati well it was an older card and they will have improved now but iam scared for life. Iam totaly convinced of nvidia, if someone have problems with nvidia cards then its usualy a bad supplier they bought it from. Iam asus addcited and there where never anything amiss. (I have a 7800gtx sli atm but will upgrade to 8800gt sli as soon as they are available here Smile )

it doesnt matter which brand of a Nvidia/Ati it is, its the same card with equal quality almost all the time, except for those specially preoverclocked ones which have different clocks of course and sometimes there are different coolers. you can usually pick the cheapest/with the best game package. also there are some advantages at some brands, for example EVGA offers lifelong warranty if you register on their website after buying their card.

i had a 8800 Ultra, i just solded it, plus the motherboard, processor and RAM's

i'm going to buy a Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6, Intels newest chipset, with DDR3, also investing in some DDR3-1333 memory.. (Corsair).. unfourtainly, Intel chipsets only seem to support CrossFire, but my brother decided to invest the money in two HD3870XT's in Crossfire Very Happy i have 700 something bucks left, and im saving for a QX9650 (you can hit 4GHz on the stock cooler with it!)

Now, i ran out of my hole money.. Laughing

Also, the graphics card are VERY awesome in crossfire.. hited over 20.000 marks in GPU mark in 3Dmark06 Shocked Shocked (according to benchs)

None of the newest CPUs and chipsets are needed for adequate performance.
Folks are chasing hardware and the software hasn't come close to using all the cores and bandwidth available.

I am still running a 4400 and 7950GT is all is well in the kingdom.

Yeah. I think it just depends on your system.
On some rigs one will work better than the other. Right now Nvidia works better for me.

Nvidia has more partners in the gaming and nanotechnology areas, allowing it to develop more advanced technology devoted to high end tasks such as gaming. Nvidia cards generally allow for more pixel and vertex operations to be done in the same amount of time, as well as providing much better antialiasing performance. This gives a huge boost in framerate and overall quality of the game. Furthermore, Nvidia cards now support features such as a built in particle physics engine, etc.

LOL I can't wait till they release the 8950 GX2, it's going to be a dual chip with two GPU's clocked at 550 MHZ, imagine that with SLI...it's going to be 7 to 8x better then the highest card out atm, which is the 8800 GTX.
