Hi! Besides the obvious headshot after headshot for example, I always wondered (since I'm new) what are the most obvious signs of a player cheating. For one, I always think that a player moving in jagged ways, 5 times as fast as others, Bowing you while facing away is cheating. I was told that jerky movement 'hovering' above the ground has something to do with packets or something. I dunno, but any info would be appreciated.

Hi,

Cheaters are very rarely seen, especially on sv_pure servers like TSGK servers. I don't think I've ever met a cheating player in game.

I've seen some demos of cheaters though. Those using aim bots are easy to find out in spec mode. Their crosshair automagically snaps onto the opponents head and boom, he's dead. Cheaters like this usually go for 357 and rack up head shots. Mind you, there are very good players who do this too, without cheating.

Then the fast jagged movement. A lot of advanced players have mastered
bunny hopping, an advanced technique where they move all the time at something like 1.5 times regular sprint velocity. I've heard of speed hacks, never seen it. This should also be easy to spot.

From what I've seen of speedhacks, they just whizz around, not jumping or anything. Looks odd as they slide along the floor, travelling faster than their feet move. Laughing

The guy I saw couldn't even aim properly (smg mainly), so it's a bit pointless really and blatantly obvious that they are cheating. Makes you wonder why they even bother.

Oh and jerky movement might just be them (or you) lagging out a bit.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't seen them on TSGK servers, only on others. Yeah, what Xenon described is what I see sometimes. One guy, moving 5x as fast as everyone else, not really jumping, just 'jittering' across the screen, hovering above the floor. So, I don't think I'm lagging and he's the only one I perceive as 'strange'. Plus the fact his KDR is 21:2 Laughing

When I use the crossbow I find myself jerking it around to kill players I don't no why I do it just happens when playing it seems to work Smile

I have played some really good players some of them have unreal levels of skill so much so that 1v1 I am 20 - 0 down in a few seconds.
I still don't no if they are cheats or are playing from there space ship
I try to enjoy the game for what it is ... where else can I hit people with a stun stick Wink

A speedhacker is the easiest to spot because they don't obey the speed rules on any level, if they jump off of a ramp they fall back down too fast, speedhackers also usually don't jump they run and walk (much faster than everybody).

I've personally run into 3 speedhackers and usually you will know instantly they are too fast.

Let's remember though that not every bot is well made, some botters you see may not have a good aimbot but it's an aimbot none the less.

Mick you snap your aim to where you know the shot needs to go, as many fps veterans do, it's really fun to watch and takes a lot of practice, this is how I shoot my magnum and ggun, just a quick thought of trajectory and snap, boom direct hit.

basically you'll know a speed hacker when you see it. it's so obvious.

when I get called cheater I tell them: go to forum.tsgk.com and report me. we take cheating serious, please report any cheater you see.

then they usually dont say anything else and no one has ever cared to report me Laughing
