I still have my doubts about the Irish man. he has had me jumping through hoops, killing lots of things and not to mention being killed four times just to rescue his family. Wink Wink Wink

Finally i have my new rig (eVGA 8800 GTX etc) running without BSOD's (for those interested: driver 160.03 is the most stable one; those beta drivers didn't work for me).

Just started playing Bioshock now, really love it, great atmosphere. Those water effects are amazing, eg. those little reflecting droplets on the screen.

Up to now it doesn't offer that much new gameplay though; and a couple of things were almost 1:1 copied from HL2: the turrets, the ability to lift up things (including catching and throwing back grenades) and the flying manhacks.

If you use AVG I have found a way round it. Wink Wink
The game runs perfectly right with the proper setup.
Not a single crash
Going back to HL 1 with all the jaggy edges Exclamation
Mind you, I still play Doom 1 occasionally.
Lost youth, I need my leggo bricks, and my Steam engine. (well, there are
some things technology has not got round to improving) Mad Mad

Exactly the same here. I was impressed. Not 1 crash, not once frozen, no errors. Installation, online-activation and the whole game itself worked just to well.

Nearly unbelievable for someone who´s used to STEAM Games. Glad i got the uncensored non-STEAM Version in a shop. 44.90 € including a real nice metal DVD-Box. Very Happy

STEAM only offers the "censored" version for german accounts because they have no proper age-verification-system and the original game is rated "18+" over here. They didnt hit the german law requirements this way and can only offer the censored version online. Razz

I want to play this, the grahpics look amazing and I here the inhabitants are pretty nuts.

However Im currently in a cast and cant hold a mouse so it might be a bit of a problem.

I blame Breen for this Razz Wink

Threads go of at tangents as all of you know.

This one started as System Shock and discussed Bioshock which is natural development, so not so outlandish as some threads.

The other thread is Bioshock on Steam, who we all know and love. Evil or Very Mad

For those of us that actually went out and bought the game in the full uncensored version which you can not get on Steam in some countries, this is the Bioshock thread. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Almost finished it but work and HL2 dm tends to get in the way. Crying or Very sad and Very Happy

There is a biomod which makes your enemies attack each other. You probably activated this without knowing. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Right. Just finished this game (Bioshock).

My three favourite FPS games are Thief 2, Deus Ex and HL2 and I found this game must have been made specifically for me. I just loved it. The game design, the eye candy, detail, rich story - God I could go on. It was a good length too, I thought I was reaching the end only to find I had another few levels left. And a satisfying finale and conclusion.

10 out of 10. I'll never put this one in the charity shop.
