Autoexec file |
|
I finally got round to binding a few keys for things like ns or ty etc. On first game all works well, then 2nd game nothing. I restarted HL2 and again it worked on first game, but not there after. Any ideas what i have done wrong or missed out

What folder do you have your autoexec on? hl2dm\cfg?

instead of putting the chat on easily reachable buttons putting weapons on them would be better and putting the chat on the numbers. you may loose movement if you try to reach up there to change a weapon and it takes longer. I have the weapons on q,e,r,f,g,v,c,t so I can get to all of them quickly and only lift 1 finger of the wasd for each and can move normally but if you reach up thats a lot harder.

In my hl2dm/cfg folder the files are autoexec, config and Valve.
Lawitz i use the arrow keys for movement and have the weapons spaced around these. So the chat keys are the ones i have to move for.

Thanks guys for your help.
I looked at config and autoexec. Somehow all the key binds i had put into exec where now part of the config file apart from the 2 keys which where f1 and f2. I then changed them to q & w instead of f1 and f2 and now working fine after serveral games.
Therefore how do i key bind the F1-12 keys?
The link for the thread was the one where i got all the key bind info from
