i have a project for anyone willing to accept.
its called dm_club!!!!!
killbox arena, anyone you choose or want, massive disco ball hanging off ceiling, constant club music playing throughout the server, disco lights everywhere, lots of disco discs and disco physic objects!!!!
this would be very fun map to play!!!!!!!!!!
someone with map making skills (not me, im awful) make this map please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im sure it would be popular

I'm thinking about making a killbox based on weird stuff where this would work beautifully. It probably wouldn't be disco the whole time, but at some random point in time, the lights will go out, that everybody dance now song will blare, and crazy lighting will commence. And a crap ton of lighted blades and such will be spawned in to add to the madness! And previously stationary lifts (that explode soon after reaching their max height) and platforms in the air will start to move. Add in bouncy walls and you get a crazy fun time...especially when an explosion knocks you into a wall (equipped with a strong pushbox) and sends you flying in the other direction really really fast .
Must...start...mapping...

ok so if we really want to make this map together, the project hast to be well managed,
because otherwise this map will never be finished.
let's start with the basics- what should be the general shape of the map
-square (dm_killbox_v8 style)
-round, octagon like (domebox, donutbox)
-should it be only one big room, or several rooms (triplebox)
etc...

How about the shape of the outsides of the number 8, so you can't see all of the area and gives you some area to snipe or suprise from. Maybe some structure in the centre like kill box v8, But with two levels. Platforms at either end up high.

I would like to see separate rooms, but still retaining killbox style.
Anyone who remembers a quake 1 conversion called Malice may have noticed there was a dancefloor texture in the style of 'saturday night fever'. I think it would be very cool if this map had this.

triple box setup is good, each room could have a different setup
fro example,
1 room, disco room!!!! lights, disco blades, music, massive disco ball.
next room, crazy room!!! someone crazy could maybe come up for somehting for taht.
next room, anyone else have any ideas?

How about 2nd room with just physic objects with loads of pillars so you really have to aim well and not just chuck em about and hope for a kill. Also just two or three spot lights, very bright, narrow beam so there's some areas of shade to hide / jump out from

i like the just physics but it wouldnt work because poeple will coem in with weapons... so i think lets stick to hardly smg but there shoudl be weapons... however i like the spotlighst idea, that might work, depends what everyone else thinks.

How's about what I like to call the BOOM!!! room. A room where explosions (and fire) reign supreme. There can be exploding babies, watermelons, other strange props that explode, pyrotechnics, exploding lift(s) (they would explode a couple seconds after reaching max height). The props that originate in the room can also explode after killing a certain number of people (ex. radiator is used to kill 11 people and explodes the next time it's thrown with the grav gun (should provide a nice surprise for all those involved )). It would be CHAOS! CHAOS I TELL YOU!!!! Would probably work for the room in the lower left hand corner of what deluxe has made thus far.
Also, how's about making a giant stunstick phys object (I can probably do this) for use in this map? Would give a whole new meaning to stick fight !

i made once a map with lightswords, like u have them in star wars. u have to grab them with the grav gun and u can fight with them^^
